Donations |
Our many supporters in the community generously
donate the quality goods that we sell. If you are interested
in donating items, please remember that we operate with a
small volunteer staff so we can only accept quality items.
Clothes should be clean and in good condition. Household items
should be clean and unbroken while small appliances should
be in good working condition.
We appreciate your generosity!

Our Stores
WAIF Thrift Stores are owned and operated by WAIF. The Freeland Thrift
Store opened in 1995 and the Oak Harbor Thrift Store opened in 2000. Mainly
staffed by volunteers, the stores have been successful fundraisers. Both
stores sell high-quality used items in a clean, well-maintained environment.
Our many regular customers, who stop in frequently to peruse the ever-changing
displays of merchandise, rave about the quality items, reasonable prices,
and the friendly,
cheerful atmosphere of the stores.

Our Products
In our stores you will find household items such as dishes, glassware,
furniture, small appliances, linens, jewelry, and collectibles. In the
clothing department, we have a large selection of high quality, previously
owned men's and women's clothing in excellent condition at unbelievably
low prices. You may even find new items that have their original price
tags still attached. In the designer section, you may find such labels
as Liz Claiborne, Anne Klein, and Nordstrom. We also have a woman's Plus
Size section with sizes XL to 4X.
We have a special children's section where you will find
toys, puzzles, games, and stuffed animals. We carry a large assortment
of infant, toddler, and children's clothing. We often have strollers,
cribs, swings, baby monitors, and booster seats.
We also sell records, cassettes tapes, CDs, videotapes,
computer equipment, and office supplies. Customers are surprised to find
that we often have a good amount of used furniture for sale. Another surprise
is our section containing small tools, electrical equipment, camping supplies,
sporting goods, and many other odds and ends. Are you looking for a replacement
electrical cord or hard-to-find widget? We may have just what you are
looking for.
Sale Items
A unique feature at both stores is that we run a different sale every
day. Don't forget to pick up your monthly calendar at the cashier's station,
or download them from this page (see top left sidebar). Seniors, don't
forget your discountjust let the cashier know you are a senior before
your merchandise
is rung up.
In addition to our advertised daily specials, we like to
have surprise sales now and again. Be sure to check the sale board each
time you visit.
Volunteers Needed
WAIF would not exist if not for the hard work and generosity of its volunteers.
Because WAIF depends heavily on volunteers, we encourage anyone who may
have a few hours to spare to join our great team of Thrift Store volunteers.
Volunteers are needed for a variety of tasks such as sorting,
pricing, and cashiering. Our store managers are more than happy to answer
any questions you might have about volunteering.
