The WAIF Animal Shelter is located on Highway 20, next to the Island County Solid Waste/Recycling Facility, about two miles south of Coupeville: 20168 SR 20
From the south: The shelter is about 26 miles north of the Mukilteo-Clinton ferry landing on South Whidbey Island. The ferries run every half hour all day long, and the crossing is about 20 minutes. From the ferry, stay on Hwy 525 north. The highway will become Hwy 20 a few miles from the shelter, at the turnoff to the Keystone Ferry (don’t take the turnoff to the ferry). Look for our green and white sign on the right side of the road.
From Port Townsend: Follow the signs to Hwy 20 east. Turn left at the junction of Hwy 20 and Hwy 525, and go a few miles until you see our green and white sign on the right side of the road.
From Oak Harbor and points north: Take Hwy 20 and go past the light on the highway at Coupeville. The shelter will be about 2 miles from that point, on the left. Look for the green and white sign.
