Island County residents, outside city limits
County license fees apply only to Island County residents outside the city limits of Coupeville, Oak Harbor and Langley.  No county license fee is required for dogs less than four months of age, service dogs or cats. Licenses are to be renewed annually in the month of January.  For off island residents, please consult your local city government office for license information.

	$7.00 license fee for altered dogs
	$25.00 license fee for unaltered dogs
	$4.00 license fee for altered dogs (Reduced license fee for pet owners, 65 years & older)
	$20.00 license fee for unaltered dogs (Reduced license fee for pet owners, 65 years & older)

County licenses for dogs can be purchased at the following locations:

For cities of Oak Harbor, Coupeville, and Langley, you may be required to provide documentation from your vet of spay/neuter and vaccination of pets upon purchase of license(s). Licenses are to be renewed annually in the month of January.

WAIF works hard to ensure you are adopting a healthy companion animal. We do, however, encourage you to take your new pet to your veterinarian as soon as possible for a complete physical.
